Art as a source of tension relief with Victoria Tsarkova
When I look back at the World Science Festival and its "Food 2.0" presentation Friday night at Baruch College, I don’t necessarily view it as an experience that provided the audience with any more fireworks than the usual. This picture above is of the zero currency rupees designed by a anti-corruption organization in India called 5th pillar. The group has invented the rupees in hopes that they will be passed on to wrong doers as a sort of tangible scarlett letter against those searching for a bribe or operating under fraudlent pretences.
This is a cool pictoral I spotted of military dogs on duty. We usually forget about canines on the frontlines, but these are some shots to remind us that they too are out there playing their role by sniffing out IEDs and alerting brave soldiers every step of the way.
